I lost my 15 year old sister almost 1 year ago. it seems as though it is getting harder as time goes on. Sometimes I feel like its the end of the world for me. What can I do to help myself?

Yeah, I know, punching her may not do me much good. But I know it may come to that one day, if she keeps pushing me maybe I wont be albe to stop myself... maybe. I'm pretty (very, very) shy, so it's also very likely I'll really, really WANT to punch her, but never will. I never want anyone to touch me, but I've always had that, so t doesn't have much to do with my loss. I can only stand hugs (and only from some people), and I never ask for hugs. That makes me uncomfortable. I took a test some days ago, and it's very likely I have severe social anxiety, so I guess that explains a lot of my "feeling umcomfortable"'s.

I think it's good you have a good friends you can share this stuff with. It's also very good you talked her out of killing herself. I'm very sorry for whatever serious illness you both have. I hope you get better.

Hey Ada, you seek the comfort that works for you, no one can judge you for that. You shouldn't do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Also, thanks for your concern about my health. Keep writing your thoughts sweetheart....we are all willing to listen and hopefully your relationship with your parents will get better.
Thank you, Karen. I'll try to keep writing as long as I can. I hope your pain lessens with time.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
