My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. Hello, Lori. I'm sorry I'm so late posting here, but I too have lost a brother. Actually, I've lost 3 and it's difficult. In addition, I've lost my mom and dad, who both had Alzheimer's disease. Dad had cancer as well. I watched them both waste away. It was heart breaking. One of my brother died from cancer, one from heart attack, and one for respiratory arrest (COPD).
Unlike most of you, my losses are not new, but they still affect my life every day. When I was really lost, an online grief group was my lifeline. I've learned that helping others also helps me, and I hope that sharing some of my experiences will encourage you to believe that things will eventually get better.
