Josie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have a dear friend whose husband was an alcoholic, so I have some idea how difficult that is. And now, with his death, your hopes for a better future are gone.  How very, very sad for you.  I hope that you find some comfort here.  Be patient with yourself.  It takes a long time to grieve such a loss.

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months.
