On the surface our situations could hardly be more different -- my mother just died, she was 84 years old and had numerous health problems the last five years -- but reading your words touched me, somehow I felt like they were my own, the suddenness, the shock every morning, the misery of going to bed with my thoughts, the unending need for her presence, her voice. So sorry for your loss, glad that you still have good people in your life.
