How can I grieve?

In a nut shell, I was told in 2004 that I couldn't get pregnant. That was the worse news I've ever heard. I fell into a deep depression and did seek counseling however it never took my pain away…Continue

Christy, please accept my condolences on the loss of your sister. And I do understand the difficult decision of putting your beloved dog to rest. My personal experience with grieving is that being strong has nothing to do with it...you may need to seek counseling so that you are able to express some of that grief. Have you considered a journal? I have found that writing allows me to express my sadness, anger, confusion, pain...after the death of my daughter. There is no right or wrong way to grieve but I feel you must allow yourself to grieve. This website is also a wonderful place to share those feelings; we all share the bond of grief.
Take care and let us know how you are doing.
Sincerely,
Laura

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
