- An artist and writer, all thanks to the wonderful mother I just lost. She was the wind beneath my wings and my grief is so great.
- About my Loss:
- Mom was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumor (GBM) in 2013. I've been one of her full-time caretakers ever since. While hospitalized for stabilizing mini-seizures she was unexpectedly hit with a massive stroke.

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. Thanks for the hug, I needed that! So sorry about your Mom. Its so, so hard to lose a mother. Lost mine six years ago. I also like to do art and write, and I have kind of used those interests to help me express my sorrow. ( I'm involved in something called " art journaling" , which really helps me to cope with the pain of loss. You can look it up on the internet, if interested.) Somehow, taking all this grief and putting it into my art and my writing helps me to cope. Anyway, sending my love and a big hug to you!
