Jesus Christ is first in my life. Then my family and animals (my animals are a part of my family). Then friends. I also enjoy baseball, and used to talk about the Detroit Tigers with my Grandpa and watched many baseball games with him. I am going to be a Jr. in high school.
About my Loss:
I lost my Grandfather who was a WW2 veteran on June 30th, 2010. He was 84 years old. He was a very well respected man, and he was such a good, honest, and hard working man. He worked since the age of 16, was in WW2, and was wanted by the Detroit Tigers baseball team (he never took them up on the offer due to personal reasons). He married my Grandmother (still living) and they had four kids; 1 son, and three daughters. He has four grandkids and three greatgrandkids. We miss him so very much, and he was a Hero to this family.

Hello Megan
I am new on here also. Sorry to hear about the loss of your grandfather. He was a part of that great generation. They don't make them kind of folks anymore. And from the sounds of it all. I would have had a great time in Knowing your grandfather, and talking the ww2 and baseball. I had to uncles that served or took part in the D-Day invasion on Normady France. Both of them have passed now. And I learned a lot from them. In due time the things your grandfather said and did will be that much greater to you.
Hello Megan
I just got your message back. Huh!!! Yeah I am not answering in the right place oh well. You know again your grandfather like my two uncles. They lived in that generation when men were men. And human values and respect meant a lot. From the sounds of it all you did pick up on all what he was made of. And he will always live on in you. And as time goes by the greater love and respect you will have for him. And I hope you have found a love for Baseball if not all ready. Yes I am sure your grandfather would smile at that one.
Hello Megan
So how long was your grandparents married? And how is your grandmother holding out at this time? It will soon be a month when your grandfather passed away. My belief or I feel when the date comes. If you can be with or call your grandmother that will be great. Your grandfather would hug and kiss you for sure. Also as they say behind every great man is a great woman. Your grandmother has to be just that. And the thing to keep in mind she lost her best friend and the love of her life. And she married a heck of a great guy be proud.
