    Dear Jessica,

My heart certainly goes out to you. I wish words would fix your pain but I fear that is not the case. I have found though that we all travel this grief journey differently and in our own time so you will only get suggestions from me and heartfelt support.  I am very sorry to welcome you but you have found a wonderful supportive group of people who understand.

As I said I would leave a suggestion - only because this seems to be the better comfort and help my entire family has found - it is to lean on God and pray, a lot. You know the song LEAN ON ME?

    "Lean On Me"

    Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain, we all have sorrow
    But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
    For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on

    Please, swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
    That you won't let show

You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
    For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on

You just call on me, brother/sister, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on

    If there is a load
You have to bear that you can't carry
I'm right up the road, I'll share your load
    If you just call me.

Well we have found God to be the one who always has the ability to rush to your rescue, night or day. But the most comforting is that he wants to.  (Isaiah 41:10) “’Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness.’” Here is a link to a short article about this scripture that you can read on line. Please take the time to read over it. I hope you enjoy it. LINK
