I would very much like to talk to you about your post on Saturday Sept. 1st, 2012. I too look for the "truth" from the Bible. I feel that we can trust what it says and even find a guide for our life. I am so sorry to hear you lost your best friend. First there are not many in this world who know what a "real" friend is and, therefore, loosing someone who was a "true" companion is a terrible thing.
"(Proverbs 17:17) A true companion is loving all the time, and is a brother that is born for when there is distress."
(Proverbs 18:24) "There exist companions disposed to break one another to pieces, but there exists a friend sticking closer than a brother."
What was your friend's name? I would love to know about your friend if you would like to talk.
you turned to the Bible to researched your question
you used several translations
you have based your hope for the future on the truth you read in the Bible
I am sorry that this made you cry, but may be if you would allow me to show you a couple more scriptures, your tears may be changed to tears of joy.
For instance:
What will the earth be like when your friend is resurrected? Psalms 37:10, 11, 29
How will this all come about?
We pray for God’s Kingdom to come his will be done on earth – What is God’s Kingdom?
I would be happy to help you find answers to these and any other questions. You are the kind of friend I would like to have. Also thank you for your supporting words about the loss of my brother in law to cancer. Cancer is evil!
