About Me:
I am I single parent. I have three sons. Two of my sons have Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy. Alex, was 21, Ben is 19. My third son is 17 and does not have Duchennes MD. I am and was the primary caregiver for my sons with Muscular Dystrophy.
About my Loss:
My son, Alex, passed away on May 3rd of this year. Even though he had Duchennes MD, that is not what suddenly took him. He had recovered from pneumonia in February. The strong antibiotics they gave him to fight the pneumnoia, killed all the good bacteria in his digestive system. He died from septic shock and c. dif. colitus. This bad bacteria, c. dif, took over.

    My heart really goes out to you.  It sounds like you have been through so much, and have been so giving of yourself.  I hope you can find some relief and support in your sphere.  You so deserve it.

    Hi Annette,

     

    I lost my only sibling, my older brother, back in March of this year.  He had a long illness, lived in another country, alone, and we had been estranged before I found out about his illness.  I went over there, spent about 4 months with him, and we healed our relationship before he died.  

    I'm still in the early stages of grief, I think, and there is no one to talk with over here, as no one has even ever met him where I live now.  Also, his ashes were spread in Germany, so, there is no place to visit.

    That's my story, somewhat.  Thanks for asking.
