Hello. I live in Midland, TX. I’m not currently working, which has given me ample time to grieve. (I actually feel it makes grieving worse in a lot of ways, because it’s easy to stay inside and isolate.)That was never my style, but it’s easy to lean in to these days!
About my Loss:
I lost my dad on April 30, 2024. I had just shown up to stay the night with him in the hospital. We said about 2 words to each other, and suddenly he was gone! The nurses were crazy—I’m not sure what went wrong, but something did! The doctor had visited earlier that day and said he might go home the next…We were beyond shocked. Two months ago I lost my chihuahua, Lola, also suddenly! She was about 18 and was fine the day before. My dad and Lola were the two beings who knew me best, and that I loved the most. They had my heart. Needless to say, the last couple of years have been hard…and so very lonely.
