I lost a husband of 10 wonderful years to cancer in 2005. I curled up in a fetal ball for a couple of years. Finally, my best friend introduced me to a man whom I fell in love with. We had a year together, and got engaged. Two months later he was diagnosed with mesothelioma and passed soon after (2009). I am overwhelmed with grief. The past 7 yrs have been so difficult. If it weren't for my son I don't know how I would still be here. I am here on this site to find help...and to help others. God Bless us all.
About my Loss:
Losing two husbands (one a fiance) in 4 years is awful. Now my parents are in their 80's. Perhaps my life has helped me to bear losing them? Who knows? All I know is it seems so abysmal sometimes. I love to laugh (my way of keeping sane!!) when times are hard. Would like to maybe help other people and get to know some people that have shared some of the same things. As we all know, "when you grieve, 'friends' leave..." What you have left are the real friends...looking for some true friends that understand. xoxo
Hi,Susan. I hope I didn't speak 'out of turn'; I didn't mean to say anything inappropriate to you. I would probably do the same thing in a similar situation. We all do what we need to do, when we need to do it...
