About Me:
I am a single mother of an almost 7 year old little girl. I work and spend most of my time with my daughter and hanging out with my close friends.
About my Loss:
I found my fiance dead on February 13, 2012. It was an accidental overdose. It is the hardest thing I have ever gone through. He was the love of my life. I am now settling in to my new life and need some people to talk with that could help.

Megan, my deepest sympathies for your loss. Like Renee, I too lost my fiance suddenly this year. Although the autopsy results have not been finalized, we believe that he also died as a result of accidental overdose. My situation happened May 1st of this year, and the last three months have been the longest months of my life. I too would like someone to talk to who understands the extreme grief. If you want to talk, please email me.

Hi Megan I am sorry for your loss.  I am in a similar situation.  My fiance passed away this past april 27.  I went to meet him on his boat. we were going to spend some time on the water. When I got to the boat I found him dead.  Like you that was the worse day of my life.  I am glad you found this site.  It is a very helpful place to come to when things seem unbearable.  I have never in my life experienced this kind of grief.  I can relate to what you are going through.  Even though you may feel so lonely not that your fiance is gone, know that you are not alone when you are on this site.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
