Oh Joseph, I am so sorry!  It’s been less than three months for me, and I still find it hard to accept. Be good to yourself!

I just lost my wife Mary Jane suddenly last Friday.  We were married for 43 years.  I am devestated though feeling a little more acceptance .  I never expected this to happen.

Dear Jan,  I will be truthful with you. I have not moved on, just learned to live with it. Best of Luck to you in your counseling.

Thank you, Linda!  I’ve been getting grief counseling twice a week, and participating in a support group.  Dealing with a pandemic during this time makes it that much more difficult. It’s a pretty lonely existence.
That’s why I added another counseling session during the week. I realize it’s necessary for me to try and move on, but it’s way too soon to imagine that. I’m still working on being able to go in the backyard. I appreciate you responding!  I wish the best for you! ❤️

Hi Jan,

So sorry for the loss of your Husband. I lost mine 7 years ago and I found this website to express how I felt. The people are very supported and kind. Since the COVID there hasn't been many posts.

This is just one of many forums. If you look at the different forums they show how many people are members. If you read the past posts on this one you will see read how they coped with their grief.

I know we all grief different but I can relate to most of the posts. Myself, I had a grief therapist for 12 months which helped to get through losing him.

I pray that you that you find comfort here and again I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless.

I hope you fine some comfort

On June 6, 2020, I came home and found my husband in the backyard, without a heartbeat. He was 69. I’m not sure how to use this grief support site, or post comments. I’m especially interested in how others cope when there was no “good bye” .

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
