Don't grieve alone; 14,000 members and growing
Im not good at this so if i say something i shouldnt i apologize.
I am a mom and a wife of 8 yrs. It feels to me sometimes like death follows me and ill explain that.
My first experience with somebody passing is when my dad died when i was 8-10 yrs old. So many people tell me to get on because it was so long ago. How do i do that? he was my dad :( From then on it seemed every 2 years or so somebody i loved was passing away. I lost my maternal grandma Dec 23 1994 which was hard, my uncle don in Nov 1996 my maternal grandpa around mid to late April (i think) of 1998, my paternal grandpa in Sept 2003, my fiancé June 2006, my uncle in 2007, my brother's girlfriend Nov 2008 and from what i found out, my paternal grandma in 2010.

Losing a dad at such a young age is not something a person would forget easily, I think. My first major loss was at 10 with the passing of my only grandmother. Her husband and my grandfather passed a couple years later. And several more in the intervening years. I was 56 when my 88 year old mother passed away 4 years ago--but I still think about her most every day. Grieving is a process that varies from person to person. Circumstances surrounding the passing can really complicate the grieving process (Was the passing unexpected? Accidental? Following a long illness? Violent?)
I am at the age where I seem to be attending a lot more funerals and have lost several dear friends and three of my fur kids in the last 6 years, leaving behind some big holes. Few of my mother's generation are alive, and my friends are for the most part over 50 years old. I'm learning that death is a part of the life cycle, but I also realize how each of these individuals have contributed so much to my life with their gifts of love, nurturing, listening, encouragement, companionship and friendship. I have been greatly blessed to have these persons and animals touch my life.
I hope you will be able to find some peace. Talk to a counselor or minister if you feel the need.
