I am looking to talk with others who has lost their spouse or loved ones due to cancer.  I lost my husband in may of this year.  He was a great man, a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and a dear friend too many.  I came to this site hoping to meet and chat with others.  My life has drastically changed in these past few months.  We had just found out that Mark had cancer one month prior to his death, and I feel like we did not have the time or opportunity to prepare or settle things.  I miss him so much.  I sometimes wonder why God allows this to happen.

If anyone would like to chat, I would look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks to all my new friends,

Renee

I am sorry for your loss. Cancer is a very ugly thing. I lost my Mom to ovarian cancer about a year and half ago. She fought hard for as long as she could. I just lost my father suddenly due to massive heart attack. I believe that God is punishing me and also question why he allows this to happen. Was your husband taking chemo or any kind of treatment? How are your kids doing? Please take care of yourself and take things one day at a time, even one minute at a time.
i lost my love one to cancer.
hi renee,

i lost my wonderful husband on may 8th of this year--first they said it was a heart attack that took him but i knew in my heart it had to be something else--for fred was very strong and he would have survived a heart attack--we did not even know he had cancer until i got the pathology report from the donor foundation when they called me to tell me that they were unable to use fred's gift's due to him having cancer--i am still devasted over all of this and dont understand at all as to why we had no warnings or sypmtoms that he had cancer--for i will never know as to what kind of cancer nor will i ever know what stage it was in since they only tested fred's lymph nodes and his heart--i am sorry for your loss
Renee I am so sorry. I lost mom, dad , my aunt and grandmother within 2 years . I know the pain you feel. It has been a while for me a number of years but it still hurts.

Does anyone else feel pressure to always reply because you're afraid it'll be the last conversation?

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. If someone messages me and I don't respond right away, my mind starts thinking, "What if something happens to them before I reply?…See More
