My Dad passed on Jan. 3, 2015. He was my bestfriend and my hero.  I feel like when his heart stopped mine stopped also.  I knew it was going to be hard but it seems like every day gets harder.  i know it time things will get better.  I dont want to mentally get any worse so I'm trying other avenues along with God and my supportive loved ones.  I joined this social group and I'm seeing a therapist.

I'm sorry for your loss. My dad too just recently passed away. It's been a month since he passed. You will have your good days and your bad days, it's normal. We are all here for the same reason, support. Im here if you need to talk, I'm sure you have people who say they're sorry and stuff but here, we all truly understand how you feel and what your going through.

thanks Monica!!! I thought joining a group where people could actually empathize because they can feel what i feel was going to be helpful.  im really glad i joined.  im also sorry for your lost.  i know the pain never goes away or get easier but i believe in "time" we will be able to cope with and accept our loss better.  thank you again

I'm so sorry for your lost. This month coming up is the 5th year since my Dad passed away. In the beginning it feels the worst. Days seem sadder and longer. But even though he is gone the love he had for you will never disappear. It is in your heart and those memories you had with them will seem sad at first but will eventually make you smile. It all takes time and I wish you the best because it is always hard to lose a loved one.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
