Just curious, who is this?

2 Corinthians 4:4 (ASV) — in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.

John 14:30 (ASV) — I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me;

John 16:11 (ASV) — of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.

Revelation 12:9 (ASV) — And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

Yes JO B it is VERY VERY confusing. Religion is very devisive and confusing.

My question above, about Satan. What does the Bible say? It says that Satan rules the world. The Bible says that Satan has influence here.

If that is true (and the Bible says that it is) then we ask other questions, like:

Why does God allow Satan to Rule?
Will God allow Satan to rule forever?
If God is going to Stop Satan, When will he do this, and what will be the result?

The Bible does answer all of these things. RELIGION does NOT.

So what should a person do? I encourage a person to just educate themselves.

People refuse to educate themselves. They argue and debate over their own point of view without open mindedly investigating another point of view.

For example:

When someone says something that we disagree with the normal response is...We will tell them why they are wrong and how strongly we disagree...We will put forth a long argument or defense of our own view and state it clearly.

Why don't we ask questions instead? Sincerely look for why a person believes something.

The Bible has the answers to the questions we have. The problem!!!!!... People don't listen to the Bible. They believe the way their religion teaches. They Excuse themselves from the Bible by judging it as a work of only men because they have never really studied it. They judge the Bible based on what men have done with it...which is abuse it and use it as a club to enforce their own power and greed. They teach tradition instead of Bible. People then stop trusting the
Bible.

In another post I will quote scriptures that tell us what happens when we die. The Bible is pretty clear about. I won't include any interpretation. Just the scriptures.
From a variety of translations.

Genesis 3:19 — In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Psalms 146:4 (ASV) — His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 (ASV) — For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 — Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.

Psalms 115:17 (KJV-S) — The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

Acts 7:60 — Then, kneeling down, he cried out with a strong voice: “Jehovah, do not charge this sin against them.” And after saying this, he fell asleep in death.

John 11:11-13 (ASV) — These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. 12 The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover. 13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep.

Ezekiel 18:4 (ASV) — Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:20 (ASV) — The soul that sinneth, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

The Bible also speaks of a resurrection, but let's just focus on what it says in the above scriptures. Don't interpret them, what do they SAY?

Jo,

If we go to the Bible as the authority then there is no confusion.

The Bible has not changed only people twisit it to suit their own purposes. So if we go to the Bible then there can be no misunderstandings.

(James 1:17) . . .Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, coming down from the Father of the celestial lights, who does not vary or change like the shifting shadows. . .

Dear Zell,

I really liked how you explained that God didn't screw things up, man did. You said, "While God most certainly is "responsible" for allowing the events which have now shattered us, He has our ultimate best in mind, and if we will put our trust in Him and wait for Him to finish what He has started, He will bring good out of the situation that we cannot fathom from where we are now."

I appreciated how you explained that and added faith and hope for the future. Sometimes this "Mad at God" group makes me want to defend God try to help them understand just as Jesus told us to. (Matthew 28:19, 20) Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, . . . teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” The vast majority do not understand that God is allowing all of this to unfold so that it will never happen again, "NEVER" in the whole universe.

I thought that you might enjoy these two magazines:

God's Kingdom - What Can it Mean for You?

Is Satan Real?

Both of these magazines are faith strengthening - wish I could share with everyone, but not everyone wants to understand. Wish some were not slipping so deep into despair and depression.

im 2 broken 2 fix coz of grief evn in a junk shop im 2 damgedd coz of grief

Zell,

While I respect your view, you know I don't agree. I doubt if there is a god, and if there is I don't believe in the Judeo-Christian version of god or the biblical stories, or that "Jesus saves", or in original sin, or in Revelations, or any of that. Not that humans are perfect, by any means, and many humans do make things worse, but many make things better, too.

But only god, if there is one, is responsible for the very nature of the universe and of life.

i feal it evry day a lot i do

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
