It's very simple

1 Peter 5:8 — Keep YOUR senses, be watchful. YOUR adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour [someone].

So you see, Satan is really a very cruel individual. He doesn't cause each individual case of suffering, but his rulership is responsible for the state of cruelty that we see in the world.

Some suffer more than others as well.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 — I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all.

So the scriptures tell us that bad things don't necessarily happen to everyone, but that bad things can happen to anyone.

Gods Kingdom will resolve this issue.

Psalms 37:11 — But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

What a wonderful promise

Psalm 39:7. What a beautiful scripture. Yes I put ALL of my hope in God.

When his Kingdom does come, we will experience wonderful blessings.

Revelation 21:4 — And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Hi, I've felt some of the things mentioned. Being recently widowed I'm finding living alone rather hard to accept, but I know, accepting it I have to. When death comes without warning its hard to believe at first, hard to accept; I've thought of all the years we've had and acknowledged it and been grateful for them, but the hurt is still there.

What I've found most difficult is finding new friends after a lifetime of just one, my husband. We were together for 45 years, hardly apart during this time, the outside world seemed far away. Now the outside world is a new world to me. How do you begin again?

Barbara

I am very sorry for your loss.

If there is anything that I can do to help just let me know.

Please follow the link at the top of this discussion. Just to be encouraged.

Your feelings are normal, although difficult.

You bet it's difficult, I'm at a loss. Its the loneliness that gets to me. I guess you are in the USA, well I'm in the UK, but death is the same the world over. Making new friends I find very difficult, where to go and what to do?

Yes DEATH is just a terrible thing. The Bible calls death an enemy. It is not part of Gods plan, but he will solve these issues when his Kingdom finally comes.

Until then, we will help each other the best we can. Stay in touch, and if there is anything we can do to comfort you we will.

I know comfort doesn't take pain away, but without all can feel hopeless

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
