I miss my lovely mom who passed away a few weeks ago to Pancreatic Cancer. I would like to get support and also give support to others who also lost their mom.

I am so sorry about your loss. I lost my Mom to lung cancer on June 3, 2010. My life has not been the same since she left. Everyday has been an emotional struggle, with only a few very brief breaks here and there. But I always think about her and think I will be in a perpetual stage of mourning. She was the best friend I ever had.

However, I feel her praying, rooting and cheering for me! Lots of things have showed me this. You will also find this I feel. I am so sorry. Please reply if you would like to share anything.

Hugs!

I also lost my Mom to lung cancer on July 23 of this year, I am still in a numb state, and in shock, she did not tell anyone she had not been feeling good, she told me she hadn't felt good for a year before she died. From the time they diagnosed her until the time she died it was 12 days.
I have a huge void in my heart, the pain hurts worse than anything I have ever felt, I used to call her every night on my supper break at work, and now my food just goes down in a lump full of tears. She was still young and beautiful and it just seems like a bad dream.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
