My therapist said I was going through complicated grief, since there are so many things un-resolved with my mom and I have considered contacting a medium but I don't know if there are any good ones in the south, or if they are worth the time and money. Anybody have any thoughts on this subject?

It really was nice! We had her cremated, and carried her up there for the celebration and some of the patients just cried because they loved her that much. I'm very proud!:) I have always had social anxiety but since she has been gone, it's gotten 100% worse.

It sounds like you had such a special close relationship with your mom. yes you should be proud because she was loved so much. that is the way I feel about my mom too. I am having a social anxiety problem too, I guess these things happen and can't be prevented. I wish we both did not have to go through this!

At first, we had a very rocky relationship..my grandmother/her mom got in the way, she would start stuff to make me be mad at my mom and that happened for a long time, until I started therapy, and she helped me to realize what my grandmother was doing, so mom and I started getting close last year and patching things up. I'm really thankful we did because if we wouldn't have, I probably would feel a lot worse than I already do. I hate the anxiety, it has caused me to change a lot of lifestyle activities.

Does meditation work for you? I am training to do Ortho-bionomy. If you could find a practitioner in your area, that may be helpful as well.

Jennifer I am so glad you were able to experience that. It feels good right down to your core, doesn't it.

I haven't tried meditation yet, I can't seem to get my mind to stop racing to be able to relax..I'd love to be able to do it though.

It really did. Someone that she worked with is on my facebook friend's list and when I post something about mom, she always shares it, talking about how much she misses her. Makes me smile, knowing that she was loved at work!

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
