When I was driving home from a doctors appointment this morning around 11 a.m. I saw something I have never seen in my life.  I was on a major highway a few miles from the airport, and saw a large pickup pulled off on the side of the road ahead.  The pickup truck was a large double cab, the type a lot of contractors like to drive.  The doors were open on the side opposite the road, and as got closer I saw man moving rapidly back and forth by the door.  A little closer and it was clear as day, the mans shorts were down around his knees and there was a second set of legs behind the door.  They were having sex.

Never in my life have I ever seen people putting on such a bizarre display in public.  The world I now inhabit since my wife died is something strange beyond recognition.  The end of times is near.

So I laughed for a few seconds then immediately went into despair.  This was something I would have quickly texted Cheryl, and the loss of her hit me hard right then.

I need to get to the point where I can laugh without sadness.

I hope everyone had a better day than I.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
