Need help coping! Too much pain...too little time!!!

My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer Jan. 19, 2013. The doctors gave have a couple of months to live, 6 months to live if she's lucky. Well on Feb. 23, 2013 she passed away. I'm 37 years old and I was her only child. My girlfriend was helping me cope and deal with the loss of the most important woman in my life. Our relationship was damn near flawless. I had planned to propose to her on Christmas day of this year. But on the night of May 15, 2013 she had a tragic car accident that left her in critical condition in ICU. She stayed in a coma for 10 days before being taken off life support and passing away May 24th @ 7 something that evening. too much in such a short time. Hard to cope. Need help! I'm the saddest man in the world right now?

I'm so sorry Derrick. I don't think anyone can understand why this things happen. I believe that when everything is so recent as it is for you, you just have to try to go day by day. Your life is upside down. Be gentle with yourself and know that you are not alone, many in here share your pain.

During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection.
