Don't grieve alone; 14,000 members and growing
Last Wednesday, I was feeling particularly sad. I've always been a hack poet so I wrote this
little ditty down to vent some sorrow and feel a bit better. It helped. Hope it can help you

YOU TOOK HER FROM ME GENTLY M.Royer Fri, Jan 22, 2016
You took her from me gently, on that shining springtime day.
It was warm, the sky was bluer when she went upon her way
She was quiet in her exit, never slammed a single door
when you took her from me gently, on that springtime
April morn.
And, now I go to visit at the place where she was laid
and I talk to her of many things, the plans that we had made
and I water every blade of grass with all the tears I cry
and I bid her “see you later” and I never bid Goodbye.
When I kneel low at her headstone, I touch it lovingly
and I always lose composure as I speak of things to be
Of the morning or the evening or the night when I succumb
To lay beside my bride, at last. When two again are one.
Oh Lord, I love you dearly, as you safely watch our souls
and release us from our earthly cares and all our earthly woes
But, most of all you lift us up to grander glorious days.
when my bride and me are standing in a higher holy place.
