Dear Peggy,
I am very saddened to hear of your loss, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. We lost my brother in law to pancreatic cancer 22 months ago. He had gone to the hospital because of the pain from what the doctor thought was an infection, only to discover it was cancer. That was August 9th and he died on Sept 5th not even a month later. Still there are things that cancer nor death can take from you - though at times it seems as though it does:
(Romans 8:38, 39) "For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love"

(Isaiah 41:10) Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’
Even when no human is by your side God is, and he cares for each of us individually. Everyone here has gone through unbearable sadness and offers their hand to you for help and support. We have all found that talking is a big help and we will listen anytime you need.
(Proverbs 17:17) "A true friend shows love at all times, And is a brother who is born for times of distress."

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
