About my Loss:
My husband has been terminally ill since he lost his left leg and all but 4 feet of intestines to a rare genetic blood clotting disorder 3 1/2 years ago. The doctors told me it would be a miracle if he live a year. I have fought tooth and nail to find him the best medical care and bring him back to the best possible health. He was butchered by the doctors who performed the original surgeries which left his Sciatic nerve exposed in his amputation and left foreign material in his abdomen which caused him to get gangrene and rot for 8 months. He has gone through 49 major operations during all this and there is no cure for his disease or his pain. I have come here because my husband is tired of fighting for his life everyday as his condition worsens. I am helpless as I watch my husband die and lose his will to even fight. I am lost but must remain strong for our 9 year old son. What do I do???

Tanya thanks for adding me as a friend.  If I can help you in any way, please ask.  You dont have to be alone on this journey when others have walked it too.

Tanya, you are dealing with so much.  I know, I did it for only a few months but it is exhausting both physically and emotionally.  And all the while knowing what the end means.  The guilt of wanting them to stay no matter how much they are suffering.  The pain of watching someone you love so dearly wither away.  The pressure to stay positive for him and your child so you dont add to their worries.  You have come to a place where there are so many who understand because we have been where you are now.  Please accept this cyber hug because you need it girl!

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
