My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. Hi Stephen,
I feel for and with you now. My brother died this past March, and it was not a surprise either. It perhaps lessens the traumatic shock aspect of sudden deaths, but all the sadness, heaviness, lack of energy for life, are the same, I think.
I hope you can find a way to make it through these next days, weeks, months, etc. I'm one that believes that "time" itself, doesn't do the trick. I think some ritualized grieving practices helps, whatever they may be for you. My brother's ashes are in another country, and I have no cemetery to visit, but I do other things - listen to music, look at his pictures, just take out some time to be with him again. This helps me.
