Stephanie,
Everyone on this site has experienced some kind of loss. We are here for you whenever you need someone to listen. I lost my grandmother my father and my husband. I feel your pain, my husband passed away from CANCER. I miss him everyday and every night. I thought about taking medication so I did not have to feel the pain.... problem with that is eventually meds wear off and you have to face the grief. I decided to face my grief one day at a time one minute at a time. Some days that are not going so well, I get out my family pictures and find all the ones where my husband is smiling and i recall that day and remember how he made our family feel and how much fun he was to be with. Try to find a happy place that you can go too with your dad's memories and remember how much you loved being with him. I bet he would want you too cherish those moments and not dwell on the pain. I promise you it will get better with time. You will never forget him but you will find the good memories comforting eventually. We all get to a less painful place in our own time. I will pray that you find comfort in something special that you both shared together. May you find peace in knowing that he is in everlasting paradise. May the Lord bless you and give you peace and good support during these tough times. Remember we are here for you. Journaling is a great way to release your emotions. Take care, Gina

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
