Ronald,  I hope you have one family member or friend who will be there within arms length to keep you propped up.  If not ask someone to be next to you.  Just ask them to stay close by so If you need someones support just to lean into you'll have it.  Right now people will want to help you so don't be afraid to ask.  Later on they'll fall away so make use of how they can help now......we'll all be thinking of you.

In my eulogy to my husband I made sure everyone knew how special he was.  It was the last time I would talk to any of them and since they had neglected my husbands attempts to stay close to him in life I wanted them to come away with the understanding of how much they missed.  In my case it was my way of dealing with the hurt of how the family treated him and I've never regretted it. I live with knowing the love I had with my husband was the best thing that most of them couldn't buy with all their money.

Just know your wife is still with you as I do not think their spirits totally leave until all is said and done.  She may still have enough energy to send you a sign.  Each spirit is different.  Do whatever makes you feel comfortable.  This is your day to do and say what you feel about your love.  She will be listening and holding you close by.  You will know that during the service.  She will be there admiring you just like she always did.  Take care......

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
