About Me:
I am a 59 yr old woman living in Seattle. I have my own graphic design business and am doing well. I own a sweet little lake cottage in North Seattle and it is cozy and peaceful. Travel, cooking, reading, and being with friends are things I love. I am divorced and have been for 17 years, with no significant other in my life at the time. Lots of friends keep me going, a couple girlfriends in particular!
About my Loss:
On December 20, 2013, I lost my only sister, and last family member, suddenly. Her husband called and said he was taking her to ER because she was having a hard time breathing. I rushed to ER, and talked with her about Christmas cookies and how her hair looked! (She asked me to fluff it!) They took her off for cat scan, and 2 hours later, she had passed away. They were unsure what caused it, thinking a blood clot in her lung, and subsequent heart attack. She was only 62, not sick previously. She was my very best friend, my support line, my every day go-to person. Since I am single, she was almost a partner in life. Both of our parents I hurt so much and have so many questions. I am functioning, but each day is a challenge. I went to a grief counselor for the first 2 months, weekly -- and have ready many books..some more helpful than others.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
