Dear Mish,
I am so sorry that you have lost your mom. At 24 years old you need your anchor and I will assure you that she needed you. Nothing, ever, about loosing your mom, is normal.
Life brings many adjustments and you have just gone through some of the most difficult. Look at John 11:23 “Jesus said to her [Martha, Lazarus‘ sister]: “Your brother will rise.” This is the Bible account of the death and resurrection of Lazarus. With those few words, Jesus helped her to look ahead and kindly reminded her that there was hope.
You can have the same hope that your Mother will be awakened from the sleep of death. John 5:28, 29 says, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Yes Jesus demonstrated that God gave him the power and authority to bring people to life.
There is no time limit for grief, no date for feeling better. This is a journey and is highly unique to you. Talking will help you and I will always be available to listen with an open heart.
Love,
Brenda

Every time I see a new person come to this website my heart sinks. I know you have found a very wonderful and supportive group but I wish you never had reason to need it. Your loss is so new, but I hope you can share your story and talk to us. Everyone here has lost at least one very dear person and is traveling down this grief highway. The journey is highly individualized. Your journey will be different from others yet we all understand. Just remember, it is a journey not a destination. Though your pain is raw and profound today, you can rest assured it will migrate through emotions you never thought you would. (Anger, fear, sorrow, abandonment, etc.) You can trust the ones on this sight with your heart but to God you can trust your whole heart mind and soul because he cares for you.
(1 Peter 5:6, 7) “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt YOU in due time; while YOU throw all YOUR anxiety upon him, because he cares for YOU.
May the God of all comfort wrap his loving arms around you. (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17) "may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father,...comfort YOUR hearts…”
Sincerely,
Brenda
