About Me:
I have had loss and grief issues for a long time. I had a faith in a supreme creator. Losing my spouse on top of all the other trauma and loss has put me in a place of grief and loss I did not know existed.
About my Loss:
I have had a great deal of trauma and loss. I will just hit the high spots. There is not enough room to list them here. I lost a baby girl, she only lived 4 days- many years ago. My family did not believe in grieving-- they thought it was unchristian to grieve. I lost my only son-in-law to suicide in 1997. Lost my mom, sister, 2 uncles, my step dad and brother-in-law within 10 months between July 2001, and spring 2002.Lost my little 13 year old dog at the peak of all this. the hardest loss on top of the others un-grieved was the loss of my spouse in 2009. He suffered with aggressive leukemia for one year.

If it makes you feel any better, it makes me feel better that I am not alone, living a place of sorrow that did not know existed.  How much are we expected to take? and why? We must create a new life based on the love inside us.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
