About Me:
I am a very sensitive caring person. I believe in God and attend church. My passion is horses, I love them, and have a small farm. I am also an artist. I have a high value system. I have a college education, am a certified project manager, certified green and black belt lean six sigma, and I hold certifications from the Government with regard to technology and health care electronic medical records. I participated as a team member for both Federal and State on the Electronic Standards committees.
About my Loss:
My husband passed away on April 26, 2017. It was a normal Wednesday. He has asthma so its not uncommon for him to have an episode. That night he had a little trouble breathing and we thought it was his asthma. I brought him his inhaler and when that didn't help brought him a different inhaler. When that didn't work and his symptoms were getting worse he used his nebulizer. His hands were shaky so I held it for him. He said he felt like he was going to pass out and I said I was going to call 911. He complained of being to hot and asked if I would turn the air conditioning on higher. I ran downstairs turned the air down and was dialing 911. I didn't hear anything and thought he was better. When I went into the bedroom he was gone. His eyes were open and he wasn't responding. I started screaming as I dialed 911. I couldn't stop screaming. The operator had me pull him off the bed onto the floor and she led me through preforming CPR. The EMR people came and took over. within 20 minutes there were 15 people in my bedroom trying to help my husband. Its hard for me to recall that night, I felt so helpless and guilty, if I had only called 911 sooner. It seemed like just an asthma episode like 1000 other times. I couldn't believe it when the doctor in the hospital ER told me his electrical system of his heart failed and there was no coming back from that, he died.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
