Profile Information

About Me:
Homeschooling mom of many precious children from ages 4-19. Lover of animals, poetry and music, and of course, my sweet new husband.
About my Loss:
In March 0f 2011, I lost my dog, Gracie, who I had raised for near to six years, a sweet little calico kitty named Lucy, my FIRST home, and my oldest two daughters, Natalie, age 11, and Kelsey, age 6 in a house fire... I have since been desperately trying to recover the heart of who I am, and discover how to be the 'new' me without so much that I held dear.

Oh!.......You have said so much tonight. I thank you for being so honest. Sometimes I read comments here and I just can not respond. Lorna, I am overwhelmed too. That is the word. My family want me to be the old mother before my son was shot. I can not find that happy me. This is me today. I am angry and scared. This is the me...scared and angry. I know I am not good company and I stay to myself. I do not go to functions cause I just can not keep the "FAKE" "Face".

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
