About Me:
I'm 28 I served in the army for a year and 2 months and was medically discharged my fiance had just re enlisted in the army when she was killed.
About my Loss:
I was at work when my brother came and told me that my fiances sister needed to talk to me , I knew then something was terribly wrong. I got on the phone and her sister told me i needed to go to my fiances moms house that she couldn't tell me over the phone. I asked my brother what was going on I asked if it had to do with julie. Then he told me she was in an accident and she didn't make it. This was 8 months ago Sunday. I have been trying to move on and get back to dating, but I can't, I've never been one to ask for help and I've constantly kept myself busy, but everywhere I go I think of her. I'm tired of having bad days, but I feel like if I move then I really have to let go. For 8 months I've tried to process this loss but it doesn't make sense it hurts me down to my core, I feel like if I was the one to take her to her drill weekend she would still be with me. Sorry for such a long story but I've been holding on to this for to long. My faith in Christ has given me the strength to face the bar days and keep striving on,but like I said I just don't understand.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
