Dear L,

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. It is so hard to take it all in. It has been 7 months since my daughter Kyra died. She was 26 and organic farmer living in Montana.  Her father and I spent the week before her death visiting her.  We were all going to visit her younger sister who lives 150 miles away outside of Bozmann, Montana.  We drive ahead because she had to stay at the farmers market.  She never made it to her sister's birthday party.  She died in a freak car accident when someone ahead of her ran over a shredded tire and it bounced back and smashed her windshield. She lost control of her car and was killed instantly.  I am thankful my husband and I were with her sister so we could comfort each other.  I still can't fully comprehend that she is gone and don't know if I ever will. This site is a god-send where we can express our true feelings and be supported. What is your daughter's name and tell us a little about her when you can. Again so sorry you are having to go through this loss. Lynn

I am so sorry for your loss.

I lost my 25 year old daughter to cancer. She fought for 7 years. She left us on Dec 2, 2012.

There are no magic words, but you will find a shoulder to cry on here whenever you need to.

We know your pain.

L, I'm so sorry that your daughter passed away after a valiant attempt to fight her disease. Your comment in "About Me" says it all. I guess we were all once normal men and women until the day our child(ren) passed away.

"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
