About Me:
Happily married father of two beautiful children and four rescued dogs.
I try to live my life to the fullest and appreciate each and every day that I'm able to wake up and enjoy my wife and kids.
About my Loss:
I recently lost my 73 year old mom whom I loved and cherished very much. This has been especially hard on all of us since she was the glue that held our family together. My parents were married for 55 years and now I'm taking care of my poor dad.

Since February of 2013, my mom fought really hard against Stage IV NSCLC, which had metastasized to her liver and bones. She fought this battle for her family and never gave it a second thought; she did this for us!
On January 16, 2014 she was admitted into JFK Hospital in Atlantis due to intense stomach pains; they did all sorts of testing but could not find the source of her pain.
On January 21 the GI found the source of her pain, which was due to a small bowel blockage. This would have not been a problem; however they initially overlooked the sepsis that had already shut down her kidneys, then her lungs, liver and brain functions. Not to drag this out, my mom passed away on January 22 at 8:42 am, but at least I can take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.
Anita Lane, I am going to miss you like crazy and please know that you will always be in my heart! I love you mom!!!!!!
