Some people feel that I'm at an age where the absence of my mother should no longer affect me, the way it use to. Granted, the way it use to affect me has changed, but the outcome is still the same. I still miss her and I find new ways to miss her the older I get.…

The older I get, the more painful the absence of my mother seems to be. People move on at different phases, and although I don't stay up and cry every night the way I use to, I know that my heart is still broken.
I try to heal it by sharing my heart and love with other people, but when…

May 6th 2012 I attended my cousins wedding. It was a beautiful event. She was glowing. She was happy. The groom was quite dashing. And everyone was in good spirits. Then, there I was. I came in late to the event, because the night before I was partying hard. When I walked in I was overly dressed. I had a blonde style and my makeup wasn't fresh because I didn't have time to get myself together. But at…

The thing about not having parents is that no one in my "circle" understands how I feel. They pretend to listen but their attention is quickly taken away by what is on TV and what is in the magazines. I have changed a lot since I last wrote in here. But the most recent events have me thinking that I'm still not completely all right. I even went to see a therapist while I was at school because I thought that she could help me make sense of the chaos in my head. But, I could tell that even she…

I read your blog about your cousins wedding. My heart broke for you. Did you mean that you do not believe in God?
Hello!
I have not logged on in a LLLOOOONNNGGG time (actually the lst. time we emailed each other!) However, I have thought of u often (honestly!) Things r crazy as ever, busy w/ the kid's and school! I have gone through a rough time w/ my Mom gone...it does not get easier in my viewpoint. I assume, part of the reason is b/c there r so many things that I wish I could share w/ her and my heart aches. In addition, I had a few issues w/ an old buis. partner which was a disaster! It took me over 6 months to fix it and a lot of monies...but it's done!
Enough of me how are U??? R U in school? How are u feeling? Please feel free to keep in touch...! I am extremely happy that u contacted me and I so sorry that have lost touch! Happy Easter:-)
Wuv,
Sammie
I am very busy but my first priority is my children. We have a beautiful pond in which we often fish, have lunch, or we lay by the pond while we gaze at the ducks. We have a large piece of property where we utilize the space, I for one do not take it for granted! I often catch myself looking at the pond while I have a cup of tea. Perhaps I can upload a pic., I have had classmates ask me to send them pic.'s for a relaxation technique. Today we went to place where the kids love to play and treated them to their favorite meal. Time for me, interesting...I usually work out and enjoy time reading & listening to music.
This may come as a surprize but I lived with my aunt and grandmother also. My relationship with my husband is wonderful..however, (in my viewpoint) a relationship takes work, understanding, and one needs to be healthy and in a positive place within themselves in order to attract another healthy person. Believe me I went through a lot before I got to where I am today. I am truly blessed, and I do not take anything for granted.
You are on the right path, taking classes is something that is yours and very gradifying! I love Soc., as a matter of fact it is part of the spectrum where psy. is more individual where Soc. is a larger group. However, you will learn about the theories of Freud, Erickson, Maslow, etc. I went a little crazy taking classes that I did not have to b/c I believe in being well rounded...I took Journalism as well, among others.
I appreciate your concern in regards to me taking time out for me! I realize that I need time for myself and believe it or not the kid's go to bed at a certain time (this took a lot to accomplish!) My husband and I watch cable or just talk and then I am guilty of doing more homework when he goes to bed. School is very imp. to me b/c I have worked very hard to achieve my goals..no matter what I still plugged away at school.
It has been my pleasue posting to u!
Sammie
Oh you are very welcome it my pleasure to reach out, anytime! I am in college attaining my 2nd degree. I am a psychology major as well as a legal studies major. I know they are both on the other side of the spectrum. However, I have a theory in which I can explain sometime if your interested.
What are you going to school for (if I may ask?) Ahh, grading papers..unfortunately I am engrossed in writing papers! My professors love, love, papers! Take care and you are in my prayers.
Warm wishes,
Sammie
It is my pleasure! I hope that we can help eachother, as well as give eachother strength. You are on the right track and you should hold your head up high! When you need to talk just reach out, I am always on the computer doing papers upon papers..as you can understand!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Best,
Sammie
I am sorry for your loss especially at such a young age. I am a mother of four young children and I can't imagine how they would be without me. I have had a terriable experience lst. Dec. where my daughter and I almost did not make it (she was born 11 weeks early). If her having to be born early was the only issue the tragety would not have been as hard to handle. In addition I lost my mom just 2 months prior.
I am pleased that you are attending school and love it! I am an advocate for education, I am in school pursuing my second masters.
Perhaps we can touch base from time to time? Have a wonderful weekend and the best of luck.
