been awhile

Havent been on in awhile, but I have read the post.

I have been working on my anger with my husband and it is getting better.

I go to grief counseling with my church and it helps a lot.

it has been 2 yrs and 7 months now and it feels like yesterday.

The evenings are  the worst, very lonely.

I try to keep busy during the day.

The friends that stay in touch, try to help, and I am grateful for that.

Its is good to know that all of you have the…

Dear Jackie, I just read your post. My heart feels your pain. I too lost my husband Sept. 29, 2010 from liver cancer due to alcoholism...He was 55 years old. Three months later I was run over in a parking lot by someone driving an SUV and texting. They also backed off. After much time I am not able to function like I was and miss my husband immensely, I too know what it is like for friends to scatter. I can't even work and have no other family. I connect with a few on line support groups that are helpful. I suggest you look into Al-Anon if you haven't already. Be easy on your self and know you are not alone. Painfully Ellen, HUGS to you.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
