About Me:
I am 68 years old. I am retired military and married. I have two Australian Shepherds females and live in an RV and travel throughout the US working at various jobs, or not working at all.

My 18 year-old granddaughter who was a wonderful, loving child. She lived with my wife and I on occasion and loved her family and animals. I miss her and think of her everyday and every night. She died too young.

You should join a group. I found one for grandchildren. There is only one member, but you could probably be great support for each other and talk about what happened. I find this very therapeutic for me. I hope it helps you too. The name of the group that I started is Loss of a child In memory of my son or daughter. You are welcome to join it too if you would like. I am the administrator over it and it is relatively new, so there are not many members yet.

Hi dad,
Welcome, I am sure that you will find the same support that I have found here. I am going to start a new group for just Brittainy. I will work on it tomorrow. I just want to let you know about it and will send you an invite when the group is finished. I love you, Gyla

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
