About Me:
I am a young 75 years old with 3 step children (all adults) and had lived in Rome, Italy for 20 years and Costa del Sol, Spain for 15 years with my second husband and lost him last year on April 17, 2010.
About my Loss:
I still am grieving and crying when memories and certain things pop up about him. We were so close having had in our first marriages, loveless spouses. I still can't believe he is gone, but he is. Thought joining this might help. Certainly I have not found any grief support groups that helped.

True Love Remains Forever

No matter how many years shall pass, nor what will take place in my life, I will never forget the love I had for my husband of 46 years.  But, living does go on and we must all look to the present and future and take the lessons of the wonderful love we had and add them on to our new lives.  One is never parted from our loved ones and one day we shall be together in peace in a way we never imagined while here.  I wish this for everyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one.  My love goes…

Lost my husband of 46 years last year and am still in anguish and grief.

I am still grieving over my fabulous husband, friend and everything to me.  How do I ever stop crying, yearning for him and comparing him to all others.  He was my 2nd marriage and it was perfection from day one.  I am truly lost without him and have to push myself to ever go out and meet new people.  It seems people, relatives, well-meaning persons just can't understand this grief and I have now stopped telling anyone about it.  But, it is still there and I do feel such a loss as to being… Continue

Dear Georgia,

Thank you for your sisterhood. It means so much. How blessed you were to have such love in your life. What a blessing. I have never had a man truly love me in such a way. How special you did. Your Sister Sue

"GriefShare is a church based support group. They do have meetings online, but the usual format is a group of people experiencing a loss getting together weekly to watch videos (13 weeks total) about grief and loss. After the video, we talk about the…"

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
