About Me:
I am a person with much pain, missing my loved one, with so many questions. Although, I do know that this was God's Will.
About my Loss:
My dear cousin, who was like a brother to me passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009. We had been planning an amazing Sweet 16 Birthday Party for my aunt, his mother, who had turned 61. My cousin, Cesar, was a wonderful son. We had created a slide show of her life and hired an Elvis impersonator to perform at this event. Cesar wanted balloons everywhere. We were at my aunt's house, at his house, listening to music, and an hour away before guests were due to arrive. This was a surprise party! He was so excited! He was standing measuring where he wanted to put some streamers, when suddenly he collapsed. He collapsed at 1:24. I called 911 and they arrived promptly at 1:26. He was not consious but was breathing. EMT did all they could. He was rushed to the hospital. He passed away at 2:41pm. What a horrible event. We had to call his mom who was on her way home to her party, that she had no idea was taking place. Instead she had to meet us at the hospital and shortly after she got there, her son passed. We then went to her house and she had to deal with all the decorations, food, and everything that was left for a party. My cousin was like my brother, we grew up together. It is soooooo hard. It is even more difficult because his fiance was present when this took place. She was histerical and she was 5 months pregnant at the time. Thank God that thus far the baby is ok, she is now 6 months pregnant. Again, this is so hard. I can't imagine her pain of the pain of my cousin's parents. My cousin was going to be a father for the first time ever, he was only 26 years old! On the Tuesday after this happened, he was suppossed to find out that he was going to have a baby boy. Just this past week we meet with the doctor that performed the autopsy and were told that they don't have an actual cause. They said that he had severe asthma, but he had no symptoms. We knew he had asthma, but he never complained. The doctor said that other than that he was healthy. This is so hard and painful.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
