About Me:
I am 44 years old and the mother of 2 and the grandmother of 1. My son is 21 and my daughter is 16. My favorite pasttimes are going to Church, reading, and watching tv.
About my Loss:
Me and my husband had been separated for 3 years when he passed away in Dec. 2014. I was in the process of getting a divorce and was making payments to an attorney. It was very hard for me because I had to go to another state and ID the body and make all the arrangements even though he was living with someone else. I was very hurt and angry during this process.

Felicia,

I am so sorry for your loss.  I can somewhat related. My husband died Dec. 12, 2014 and i was not with him at his side.  We were legally separated the last 6b months of his life, and it wasn't that i didnt want to be with him. Just that my father in law interfered with our life and created so many problems for us and so did the ex-wife.  I miss him so much and we did file for divorce, but it was never finalized.  Now i am in a legal court battle with the father in law and ex-wife. My husband had 3 boys and i have two girls 22 &18 and grandson.

I was very hurt and angry.

"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
