About Me:
I'm a stay at home mom and teacher to a 6 yr old DD and a 2 yr old DS. I have been married for 17 yrs.
About my Loss:
On June 11th, 2009 my dad passed away after having a major storke during surgery. He never really woke up before he passed away. He died 1 day before his 72 birthday. I was very close to my dad and spoke to him or saw him everyday. I keep going over and over the hospital stay in my mind. He drove to the hospital that morning for routine surgery and never came home! I never realized how much I relied on my dad for simple things!

Other people who have been through similiar curcumstances can help, but we have to figure out with the help of God, how to stay afloat. The problem is people don't want to see my grief. They want me to say that I am doing ok. Well, I'm not! I'm angry and sad and don't understand why my Dad died so suddenly. I dread the holidays and just want to go to bed and pull the… Continue

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
