About Me:
I am twenty years old, and I am trying to live my life to the fullest, be responsible, and make something of myself. I am married to a wonderful husband who supports me through anything, the fun times, the rough times, and so on.
About my Loss:
I lost my father four years ago when I was sixteen about to turn seventeen. My father was fifty years old. He struggled with a few health issues but never anything that would have caused him to die. A few doctors didn't consult on the medicines they were giving to my father, and all along they were against PDR recommendations, which stated that he shouldn't have been on those. Well the night he died I was there and it was horrible to see that, especially at my age. When he died, I just like went into shock and i've stayed in shock since. It's just so hard to accept and believe. I just want him here. We received a toxicology report for my father and it said that he had a tramadol intoxication and he really didn't. What had happened was the medicine was too high of a dose and it poisoned his body and slowly weakened his heart, which in return caused him to die. I have been fighting with this ever since. How it wasn't fair, how he isn't here, and how he should be here. Doctors who didn't pay attention to what they were doing, made me a young girl lose her father. I just can't seem to learn how to cope with this, I mean its been four years, i'm still dealing with this, and my fathers law suit is still in process. Does anyone have any advice.

Chelsea, I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Thank you for the encouraging words, though. They mean a lot. If you ever feel as though you need/want someone to talk to, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always willing to listen. Take care. <3

"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
