I am new to this online support thing but had a realization today & really don't know who to share it with. I've had multiple losses from car accident to cancer to suicide. I was a widow the year…Continue

About Me:
Still trying to find my way through the losses. Some days are better than others.
About my Loss:
My losses started when my 17 year old niece wrecked her car on the way to school one drizzly morning in December. Her dad never grieved with the loss & took his life about 5 years later. In between those, both my Mom & mother in law passed, both from heart failure/complications. I lost my husband to cancer when he was only 41. Then my oldest brother was diagnosed with cancer about the same time a dear friend was also diagnosed (she had helped me with my husbands home hospoce & her husband was my husbands best friend since Boy Scouts). Both my brother & friend passed from cancer. My only other brother then passed that same year as our oldest brother. And lastly, dad from cancer. All of these losses were over 15 years with other friends & distant relatives passing too but the most grief I am still working through are my husband & bothers. My love & my heroes.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
