About Me:
I have been married to Mark for almost 12 years and we have manage to build a wonderful life together. Mark is the calm and reasonable one, which evens us out since I'm the excitable and sometimes irrational one! But as different as our personalities are, we seem to make it work and I know without a doubt I'm married to my soul mate. Mark is an outstanding father and husband, as well as the kindest person I know. More woman should be as lucky as I am when it comes to finding such a sweet man to share their life with.

I am a full time mom to mine and Mark's four loud, junk-food eating, cartoon watching, messy, sweet, wonderful kids. (Three boys and a little girl) I am also blessed with three beautiful, talented, loving teenagers from my previous marriage (two boys and a girl), and they live in Mississippi. Perhaps I'm saying this because their mine, but I happen to think they are the seven greatest people to ever grace this world:) These seven individuals have taught me more about myself, life and unconditional love then I ever imagine.

Mark and I settled in a small town outside of Knoxville, Tennessee a few years ago after Mark retired from the Navy and we quickly adopted this area as our new hometown. Mark's dream of attending law school and a job offer is what brought us to East Tennessee, but the warm people and incredible beauty is what will keep us here. I can't even imagine raising our family anywhere else.
About my Loss:
I loss my mom on April, 13Th, 2008. She passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at the age of 62. Mom had heart problems and been showing signs of colon cancer, but her cause of death was ruled natural causes. (We are still surprised that no autopsy was performed. The not knowing the for sure reason she passed away is the hardest thing to deal with)

My mother was a wonderful woman who loved her five kids, 18 grand-kids and her husband (my father) of 48 years more then anything in the world. She was kind, sweet, funny, and she worried about everything!

Mom was 14 years old when she married dad. Less then two years later they had my oldest brother. I was the youngest of their five kids. Life wasn't always easy for her, so the thought that she is finally at total peace is what helps me cope with her being gone.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
