Thanks, Eliza! It's so hard, especially going through first holidays and birthdays. Even stupid things, no one made me laugh like her and I miss our shopping/lunch dates. I am grateful that I had such a great mom and 29 years with her but I should of been able to have more. Just like you. We are too young to be motherless. Ugh!! Thanks for reaching out to me!

Hi Amanda,

Losing a mother to cancer is terrible. The pain is so raw and runs so deep. I lost my mother in December 2012 to pancreatic cancer. Like your mom, she was pretty young. I am young, too (35), and I really related to what you wrote on the "I Miss My Mom" wall--I, too, have thought that I will probably be alive longer without my mom than I was with her. And it feels so terribly unfair that our moms were dealt this deal. Shortly after my mother died, I had someone tell me, "there is nothing worse than the pain of a daughter losing her mother." I think that is true. If you ever need to chat, feel free to PM me anytime. Thinking of you.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
