Erin and OL, I am sorry for the loss of your loved ones. I received many signs myself from my son. On visiting his gravesite shortly after his passing, during the darkest of time, a flock of beautiful swans flew overhead. I have never seen swans in this area before or since. They were singing a song which was beautiful. My daughter and I just stared up at them...we both thought the same thing.

I found out later that swans are used to signify a passing in many cultures and that in particular to hear them in song is very unusual and is tied to mourning.

A few weeks later, a flock of swans flew directly overhead of my home. This is several miles from the cemetery. They have never shown up here before or since. I have lived in this house since 1995.

I got a tattoo yesterday. It was theemed around my mother's favorite book, Watership Down. As luck would have it, as my husband and I were on our way into our apartment, our neighbors pointed out a rabbit in the distance. Maybe it was my mother's way of saying that she missed me too and that she would never forget.

I want a sign...please God give me a sign from John.  It's been seven agonizing weeks.  I did see you so briefly in a dream ...let me know that you are all right.  Your death was so quick that it was like it was not real.  There are no words for how much I miss you.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
