This is my first post on the 2nd of June I lost my fiancee. He was shot and killed by a police officer. He had a warrant out for his arrestt officers went to serve him with the warrant and arrestt him. He pulled out a knife on them but it was only a 3 inch pocket knife and they shot and killed him. My life has been turned upside down sence he was killed. Its hard for me to get by the next day without him. But I have two kids I have to take care of and I can barely get out of bed in the morning. I really need some help

Christine I am very sorry for your loss.  I said it before, I dont know how I could deal with the loss of my husband if I had to take care of little children too.  I hope you have lots of family and friends who are there for whatever you need.  It is important for you to take care of yourself so make sure you take people up on their offers for help even if that is just getting them to take your kids to the park for an hour so you can have a good old cry without worrying about upsetting them.  Sending you some hugs of understanding.  My husband passed away on July 1st, after a very very short battle with cancer.

Sorry to hear it, Christina.  I lost my wife a little over six months ago when she took her life.  We didn't have children, so I can't imagine what it'd be like to have to deal with the grief and loss and still take care of two kids.  I'm glad to see you're willing to reach out to others for support.  I know being able to talk to people has helped me out a lot.  I know writing stuff down has helped, too.  Journaling's often good, especially if there's no-one available to talk to or I'm not sure how they'd react to what I have to say.  I hope you keep coming back and keep making use of all the support you can get ahold of.

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
